Your Security and Privacy
When it comes to keeping your data and your money safe, we never rest. We’ve built bank-grade security measures into the system to make sure you can use Wave with confidence.
How Wave protects you:
- 256-bit SSL encryption, the sort of thing you find in online banking
- 24/7 physical security of servers
- Bank password protection
- Read-only access to your financial accounts
- Externally reviewed privacy practices
Secure data transmission: When you load a page in your browser, or upload something to Wave, all information is locked up with up to 256-bit SSL/TLS encryption. That’s the sort of thing you get with online banking and online shopping. We also support a wide variety of cyphers to ensure the best match to your browser and the highest level of encryption possible (based on your browser) for our communications.
Secure data storage: Your accounting data is stored on servers that have strict physical access protocols. The facilities are controlled with 24/7 monitoring, and the technology is digitally protected.
Bank Access Security
Password protection: For increased security, Wave employs a world leader in online banking to manage bank account and password data. This third-party is trusted by some of the world’s biggest banks, including Bank of America, Citibank, and Wachovia.
Wave does not store any bank account or password information, nor do Wave personnel have access to them.
Read-only security: The connection Wave makes with your financial institutions is read-only. So nobody can use Wave to move your money out of your account, even if they had access to your Wave account.
Do you have additional questions about the security of Wave? Please contact us. We’d be happy to tell you more about the many steps we take to ensure the security of your sensitive information. If you require secure communication, please use Wave's PGP key 2A4FBD0B.
